Bb is sick

A day after visiting the Zoo bb fell sick, not because of the zoo, I hope not. When he came back from Mil’s house, he was perfectly okay except he slept extraordinary early at 9pm. I thought may be bb is tired and wanted to rest early. I then went down to watch some show, after a disc, I headed back to the room and checked on him. OMG! He was like a pot of hot kettle. I grabbed a thermometer to check, it showed 38.4 degree, freaked out, I called hubby to help out with medicine while I sponged him. His face was rosy red, eyes still closed. As usual refused medicine, cry out loud but settled with a bottle of water and as active, played with the thermometer. He then purged watery stool. I monitored him the entire night just to make sure he was okay as he has history of fever as high as 40 degree and was admitted to hospital for 3 days in 2004. I was worried sick. I took a day of on Wednesday to send him to the pediatrician, just to make sure he was free of any ulcers or infections. He w

The Zoo

Hubby wanted to go for shopping but I was so very sick of it. I prefer some nature outings. I suggested the butterfly park as the bird park in Lake Garden was quite good the last time we went. We drove all the way there. When we arrived at the entrance, the butterfly park did not look all interesting and it was a bit small. Hubby made another suggestion to head to the zoo. Bb was sleeping at that time, so eventually we decided zoo it was. It was a second trip to the zoo this year alone. This time bb has more awareness, he could recognize more animals. He fed carrot to the deer, wanted to touch the camel badly, climbed up the ape man signboard like an ape, calling out the bus in the zoo, running loosely like a wild cat. There was this one instance when we were resting at one of the bus stand in the zoo. A 5 or 6yr old kid was having his Mamee snack, the kid was making some sign to bb and bb took out a strip of Mamee and put it in his mouth. OMG! When did he have a strip of Mamee with h

Merry Christmas!

May the New Year brings you lotsa love, joy, health and wealth.

Sweet

Bb was not around when I reached home. Fil brought him out to grab the evening newspaper at one of the near by sundry shop. When he reached home, he called me and kept pointing his fingers to his teeth and relating his story to me. Oh…poor boy, he has sweet stuck in between his two front teeth.

The little chef

Here is BB, the little chef. “Cling, clang, cling, clang….” BB what are you cooking? "Egg......." ^__^

Mr. Sun

I had to send bb to mil house today as Fil is not able to pick him up this morning. There is this lovely Mr. Sun shining on his face and body. The little fellow called his kakak, “kak, Sun” asked her to cover the sun with his little security blanket while his head bent down a little to prevent the sun from hitting his face directly. He definitely got this from me. I hate to be hit by the sun directly too. It’s just so uneasy, I reacted naturally. If I recalled correctly, when he was in my tummy, he would move away rudely creating commotion in my tummy when there was sun hitting towards my big tummy. Weird hah! Wonder does this happen to other baby and toddler too? He grabbed his milk and a “Totoro” VCD that I just bought for him while sitting in his car seat. He loves this Totoro bear so much that he kept calling Totoro, Totoro, Totoro as if he is calling his best pal. Surprisingly, he loves this show and able to sit for quite some time concentrating on the story.

Long overdue project

Few weeks ago, I stumbled upon my long overdue project in the store room. Know what is this? Hehe… It was my first attempt to make soap from scratch. It’s been almost a year ago. After finishing them, I just left it there to age. Little did I know that a short period of age turned out to be a year? This is best described with the Malay proverb “Hangat hangat tahi ayam”. *Embarrassed smile* I was very excited over this project. It took me quite a while to get the one very important element for the soap saponification process. That’s Sodium Hydroxide. Earlier on when I was working in KL, I used to frequent KLCC’s Kinokuniya for soap making book. After reading them for a while, I started experiment it. After a long period of searching, thanks to Ah-li my friend, who directed me to the right person who is working along this soap making line; she gave me some sodium sample, of coz it’s the diluted version, I had to play around with the water amount. It’s not easy to come by this sodium coz

An Early Learning Centre?

Mil sent bb to a trial Early Learning Centre class yesterday morning. I think it was about half and hour. She told me that instead of admitted bb to the 2-yr plus class, he was being introduced to a 3 yr old class because there was a 2 yr old girl who will make a big fuss out of stranger. She will scream and refuse any kid other than her own friend to join the class. So bb was in the 3yr plus class and he shook hands with about 20 kids in the class like a big shot and VIP according to mil. What a waste I wasn’t there to witness the historical moment. He joined them for some activities, he also commented on people’s slide “NOT NICE” to play. *speechless* Even so, according to mil he had great fun and pointed to go back to the class as there were leaving the centre. Later of the day, he was like a chatterbox yakking non stop. He spoke to his father over the phone, mentioning every single thing that he could see around him. My Mil siap siap ambil the registration form home also. Whao…..re

Activities with bb on weekend

It was a usual weekend but hubby was working on Saturday leaving bb and I at home. I cooked for bb, what did I cook har….err…oh ya...dry oyster and scallop herbal soup with Spiralli. I am glad that he ate 2 small bowls of them. We stayed home the entire day sleeping and playing together. I printed out some color foot prints and played walking while calling out colors with him. We went out to have steam boat dinner later when hubby came back. On the way to the restaurant, bb got so excited when he saw a Santa Claus giving out free gift. “ta claus, ta claus” he pointed. He Kept looking at Mr. Santa, he adored him so much. He ran around in the restaurant disturbing all the ladies, seeking attention. Yes, only ladies. *rolled eyes* He saw a nice girl in the restaurant and started tailing her. Hubby said, when he grows up, he might be a good girl chaser. Huh? *Mommy Headache liao* Please don’t la, if he brings different girl come back to sleep every weekend, I will pengsan lol. On Sunday, I

Mommy's pants

**1** This morning, when bb woke up I was in the toilet and quickly went out to see him, papa already held him and getting ready to bring him to the maid. His tears rolled down, his hand reached out for me and cried so loud. Later when I asked him to kiss me good bye, he refused. I said, bb being naughty. “Who naughty?” I asked. He said “mommy”. **2** Mommy, carry Wait, mommy wants to go to the toilet first Mommy…clang on to me and pull my pants Hey bb, don’t pull mommy’s pants…dropping…dropping…by the time I realized, my pants already drop half exposing my pink undie. Aiyooo, so malu la! Luckily there are only mil and hubby around at that time.

Crazy weekend

Weekend was crazy. We attended my friend’s wedding party on Friday, a friend’s 1yr-old daughter’s birthday party on Saturday night, my friend’s wedding ceremony on Sunday morning, BB cousin’s full moon party on Sunday afternoon, a wedding dinner on Sunday. Phew! I can hardly breathe. I was deprived of sleep and brain dead. My body wasn’t belonging and listened to me on Monday. I was so blur the whole day. Slept at 9pm yesterday, feeling much better today. Sometimes I am so busy that I can’t remember whether I have been to the loo for big business or not. After so much food over the weekend, usually I will clean my colon by taking fiber, so I took Phyto Fiber. I was a bit delighted as bb has been a good boy when we brought him to dinner. He played with my friend’s boy and didn’t bother me so much. I was enjoying my food and my chatting with friends. Hope this will last long. I had just finished a wedding presentation for my best friend’s brother. His wedding is on this Saturday. Aiyo…br

Chickadee vases

How nice if I have these pair of Glass Bird Vases for Christmas. :) Wonder if Malaysia sells them?

MyKad day

Finally, I have had my MyKad made. It’s been quite a while since we wanted to arrange a time for it. It’s either hubby is not free or I can’t make it. I woke up at 5:45am, after taking my shower, I woke hubby up and then BB woke up as well around 6:45am. After sending BB to Mil house, we headed straight to Maju Junction, reached there about 7:30am. To my surprise, there are only a few people queuing. I thought, may be it’s a good day la. We waited for about 15 minutes and some pegawai arrived and I overheard one uncle talked to a well dress lady, “you buat IC ke? Turun bawah” "Oh Shit” Me and hubby quickly drove down to lower level. Whao…the queue is quite long already. We both got no 3122 & 23. We waited for about 2 1/2 hours before our turn. We had lunch and a little shopping. My tummy was very upset the whole journey home, it must be the food I ate. When I got home, I puked out all I ate. Eeewww… disgusting but felt much better. Rested for a while and went out again to get

Ah Tan

Scene 1: Mommy: BB, do u want to eat Rambutan? BB: Ah tan, Ah tan. Mommy: Not, ah tan, Rambutan. If my friend whose name is ah tan hear this, he is sure gonna be so happy. Hahahaha! Scene 2: On the way home from MIL house last evening. BB: Mommy, TOL….*point point to the Kerinchi TOL* Mommy: Yes, TOL, mommy has to pay TOL before using the road you know. Mommy: After paying TOL….Tu Tu… BB: …TOL….TOL…*point to my Touch n go card* Mommy: ok, just play awhile only, mommy need to pay the second TOL BB took the card, sitting on his car seat and swiped the touch n go card to his left and made the tu tu sound. He shouted “TOL mommy TOL” Whao, BB so clever ah, know how to pay tol already. *Smile smile* Scene 3: FIL was driving, out of a sudden; BB got so overly excited and ordered his grandpa “Gong Gong, Stop car, park park”. Apparently, there was a children playground, he wanted to go and play. Little BB is growing up more and more each day.

He threw tantrum

The weather these days reminded me of winter time in foreign land. It’s a little cold and depress in the morning but after a steamy hot shower, everything seems fine. It washes away the dead cells; rejuvenating the flaky dry skin with moisturizing crème, bringing back pleasant appearance to life. It's easy to deal with lousy appearance but... Dealing with BB’s tantrum, what can I do to make him stop tumbling his feet and crying demandingly? I wonder was I like that when I was little? BB will cry for things he wants if we refuse to give him. I think he has tumbled his feet 5 times in total, turning in circle 2 times, sticking his face on a glass drawer 1 time, crying furiously 7 times, laying on the floor slamming his palm 2 times. He was definitely testing our patience. If we give in, he will be ok in minutes wiping his tears away on our shirt and continued playing with what he has achieved. There were this instant, he was perfectly ok eating his fish stripe snack but the moment he

BB's vocabulary

Photo taken this morning. The cheeky boy stole mommy's breakfast. Hey,my carrot... BB is chattier now, just realized that he picked up words quite fast and tries to make more conversations with us. He knows how to whisper to me too. These are some vocabulary that BB has picked up and able to converse: Mommy Papa Gong Gong (grandpa) Po po (grandma) Bye bye Nite nite Milk milk Wa –ur (water) minum Car car Key C u Thank u Walk walk Slipper Shoe Park park Eye Nose Mouth Ear Cheek Hair Head Hand TV CD Song Phone On, off Open, close Up, dowm Lock Swim Elmo Bar-ni (Barney) Tubbies (Teletubbies) Bob Mee Koko (elder brother) De de (younger brother) Jie jie (elder sis) Mei mei (younger sis) Pom pom (bath) Hot hot Cold Duck duck Bao bao (carry-mandarin) Ooi ooi (sleep) Bla- ur (Blanket) Chair Moon Tiger (usually accompany with a roar) Horse Fish Monkey Peter and Jane Bar-I (barley water) Cheng cheng (Pray) Baby Drum Dog dog Bump Pooh Mear mear (Bear bear) Please Yes, No, sure Yuck I-ren (Ivan

BB is on Training

We had a great day out with BB after his first birthday. Bought him a new motorbike with his ang pow’s money and keep the rest in the bank. He was quite worn out after all those walking and shopping. The motobike is a bit heavy so we let him drive from the toy shop to the car park, he attracted lots of curious eyes. Mommy "pai sei" la. He is on NO diaper training during day time. Progress pretty well. Whenever he wants to pee, he will call for “she…she…” after peeing he would spray it away with the metal hose. (what's the word???) Helping out house whole chores after makan. Wipe, wipe, wipe!

Cheer up baby!

My husband told me this morning, he is extremely “soi- bad luck” now. These two days nothing seems to be smooth sailing. Firstly, the water filter burst and he was trying to save some bucks to have it fixed himself instead of calling a plumber. Unfortunately it didn’t work out for him, worst still he had to spend more. Secondly, he was misunderstood by his client and had a bad day. Thirdly, his fax just busted as well. Fourthly, there was a black crow giving hoarse cry outside our house this morning. Well, I would like to think that it’s ups and downs in life; it’s wear and tear. There is this Chinese saying , when one is being clouded by bad luck till it reaches its threshold, it will turn to be auspicious good luck. Well, I think you are at the lowest part waiting to bounce up high in this coming New Year. Cheer up darling!

Happy Birthday to BB

We celebrated BB’s 2nd birthday on the 18th of November. Everybody reached home around 7pm. I was the first to reach home, followed by FIL, SIL, hubby and BIL. BB has been changed to a new set of cloth bought by his grandmother. He was extraordinary happy somehow knowing that it was his special day. In the morning, MIL let him practiced blowing candle. I guess he has been anticipating for the special moment. Over the phone, hubby asked me what I bought for BB. I told him to come back and check it out himself. Upon reaching home, MIL asked me if we needed “Hong Kai Tan – red egg” for the birthday boy. I think we need, after all it’s only once a year and it’s a Chinese tradition to have red egg and “min xin- longevity noodle” for abundance, good luck and longevity. MIL thought it’s quite messy to dye the whole egg; she came up with a creative idea- that is to paint the egg like Humpty Dumpty. Each one of us painted the egg, they all looked different and then BB is asked to choose one for

Chou tofu

Stinky tofu or Chou tofu is a fermented tofu dish which has a very strong odor. It smells like stinky drain. No joke. I have always wondered how it tastes like when I was dating walking with hubby in Steven’s corner pasar malam. From the car park we could already smelt it. It was so smelly, like rubbish water. We have to pinch nose while passing thru the stall. I am more adventurous than hubby. I wanted to try. But he said if I want to eat, I go home myself. Sad, never have the chance to try. Yesterday, after visiting mom, sis and I went to see a master coz sis wants to get “fu- yellow or green paper with some holy words for protection” for her new semi-d house. I followed. I waited for her and I also asked about my son’s sleepless night. I’ll blog about this next time. After the session, we went to a near by pasar malam. We bought some tofu fa, fried carrot cake, fried la-la and stinky tofu for dinner. I hope people won’t mistaken our car as a rubbish collector’s car. Arrival home, br

Mom's in hospital

While working in the office yesterday morning, I received a call from sis telling me mom has been admitted to the Hospital. So I took a half day leave and drove down to Klang. She has suffered chest pain for the past few months. Only last week, she has decided to have a thorough check up. I met up with my elder sis at home and she drove me to the hospital. We chatted with mom and kept her company while waiting for the surgeon and approval of her insurance. Unfortunately, the insurance has been decline as they needed time to investigate the claim. So we call dad and we decided to pay on our own account first and hopefully claim them back later. Nurse came in to tell us that we have to pay RM 20,000 for the surgery. Whao! What surgery is this? She explained everything while brother stepped in the room. Brother called the agent, his friend to ask for assistance in the case. Doctor came in to check on mom and we had confirmed with him we will proceed with the surgery first. Mom was instruc

Mommy, scared!

A week ago, bb fondled around with his father’s DVD in the studies and got hold of Monster Inc. He asked for my permission to watch it. I let him have the CD thinking he won’t have to patience to watch it. But I was wrong, he played the DVD almost everyday interchanging with his other favorite CD’s like Sesame Street, Barney, Pingu, Bob the builder and other nursery rhymes. He would watch them quietly on the living room's couch. *The scene where monster roaring at a scared little boy* This morning before I came to work, he rushed to me and wanted me to hug him. He said ,” Mommy, scared”. “Scared of what?” I puzzled. He pointed at the TV which was playing Monster Inc. “Oh… no need to scared, mommy will protect you, be a brave boy” I told him. Yo...no wonder, he had bad dreams and can’t sleep well nowadays. Could it be the Monster Inc? *Thinking hard*

Raya makan-makan

OMG! I have been eating non-stop at least 3 rounds. I am feeling a bit jelak already. My colleagues put up a Raya makan-makan party in the office today. I have chow down 8 roti jala (oh so yummy! Thin & soft), curry chicken, sambal sotong, sambal kacang, lemang, kuih Raya…etc. Arrr…my pants is tight. I have to suck in my tummy while walking. It’s a taboo to mention ”FAT”, “LEMAK”, “FULL” today according to Fiz. Oh… got to stop eating em. There goes my colleagues again, “Hey makan makan, mesti ada space lagi”. Phew! Allyfeel has already eaten up one full pack of FLOUR. I’ve got to do more rounds of my sun salutation tonight.

Lousy night

I had a lousy night yesterday. B was very cranky and demanded to sleep on my chest. He threw tantrum a few times at night resulting me having panda eyes and came to work late this morning. He hardly behave like this. Usually when he starts kicking and making noises during sleep, he probably wanted water. I will add some hot water to his bottle and feed towards his mouth; he will suck and suck with his eyes close. I always tell him, “When u want water just tell mummy water, usually he will say minum”, He nodded. But he seems to forget everything when he goes to sleep. He gets cross very easily during night time. He has no problem conveying his message at all during day time. It’s night time that is driving me crazy. Wonder, does this happen to other 2 yr-old toddlers? *Zombie, cannot tahan liao*

My Best Friend's Wedding

I had attended my best friend’s wedding on Saturday, the 3rd day of Raya celebration. H and I reached Cher’s house at 8:45am. We hanged out for a while discussing games to play when the groom arrived. Jean arranged for me to wash the lettuce; yan, lin, shirl to prepare for the sour (lime and vinegar), sweet (something sweet), bitter (lotus seed) and spicy (crushed chili padi) drink. Jean herself hanged the lettuce and empty ang pao to the ceiling right in front of the main gate. We then put on the same lipstick and stamp our lip marks on a sheet of A4 paper for the groom to guess. If he didn’t get it right, he could either bribe us with ang pao or sing aloud to his wife before meeting her. 9:30 sharp, the groom arrived with loud honk and his big group of “ heng tai ”. Everyone got excited; we quickly rushed to guard the main gate to prevent them from entering the house. We negotiated for ang paos. Without much hesitation the groom handed over 30 ang paos for us “zhi mui”. The heng tai

Cosmo's theme park

Sunday had been a fun day for bb and me. Hubby brought us to Time Square’s indoor Cosmo's theme park. According to Guinness Book of Record, it’s the largest indoor theme park in Malaysia. It was huge and there were crowds gathered around to see people in the roller coaster screaming wildly. It was an energetic surroundings with many stalls selling food, idol posters, hand wax craft service, bags, toys and…etc Bb was excited looking at the spectacular scenes but holding on tight to me and patted his chest once in a while to indicate he was scared. We went one floor up to Kids zone. Hubby paid RM75 for admittance. Bb is FREE as he is still under 3 years old. We put on a tag and walked into the entrance. Whao! Very nice! Bb opened his eyes big big. It’s so colorful. It looked like a small little sweet town that filled with busses, train, ship, playground, cars, insects, flowers, large fruits, vegetables, grass, aliens and little people. We hopped right into the merry go round. We di

A day of bb's life

Bb was very active as usual at MIL house. But yesterday he fell in front of the main gate when trying to answer the maid’s called from the neighbor. It caused him to have deep red scratch on his elbow and knee. It looks like 3 lines of cat’s claw scratch. But the brave boy didn’t cry. He continued playing as usual. By the time I saw him, it was in the evening. It has formed a thin layer of dry and deep red skin. The maid said sorry to me as it was her duty to look after him even MIL is around. I said ok, just be more careful next time. Well, I think its part of growing up for kids to have such accident. I didn’t make a fuss out of it la. He was as happy as usual despite having those red marks on his hands and knee. He kicked balls, tossed it to the goal basket, running around, playing with my hand phone watching his favorite movie which I captured for him when we went out sometime. He loves looking at them everyday. I think he is a bit vain, he loves looking at his own photos and himse

The yoga baby

Bb is very flexible with his body, when he throws tantrum, he can bend his back like how yoga expert bend them. When he is angry, I always tease him, “uh..uh….u doing yoga ah, bb?” while holding his back and make his head touch the floor. Then he will mix laughing with crying, don’t know which is which. Hehe… The other day when we visited the Sony fiesta in KLCC convention centre, bb saw an uncle demonstrating yoga moves, and he actually imitated lifting his leg with one hand in front of everyone. Kekekeke….very funny, bb made mommy laugh non stop. Last night, I showed bb how to lift up one leg sitting down and moved my foot to touch my face. “Bb, try this, can you do it?” He didn’t try, instead he tried to instruct and pull my leg above to reach my shoulder. “Whao, you want to be mommy’s instructor ar bb?”

Principle

When it comes to work, I have my own principles that rule my thinking. I want to understand say a product thoroughly and do as much extensive research as possible to stimulate myself before coming out with something really good or meaningful. My husband disagrees with me. He told me that, when you need to put up meals on the dinning table, you make do with what you have. In the competitions with time and resources, you have to be flexible. Whatever it is the client required, you always say yes you can do and then find solutions for it if you don’t have yet. To be frank, even though I find it hard to work like that at first but on 2nd thought, what he said is quite true. It’s not easy, but I will still try my best to help in whichever way I can. Feeling a bit down today, like chewing papaya’s seed……yuck!… ptuuui!!!

Recycling activity

I was just wondering how many of us Malaysian housewives recycle products that we have used? Most of us will think, aiyooo…. so leceh la, no need to separate la, just throw in the rubbish bin will do. Initially I was like that too when my hubby told me that. He said the rubbish men will separate them one la. But my gut feeling told me that they won’t. So I started to separate them myself, first, those soft drink cans in one plastic bag, then used glass like chicken essence, milk powder tin, plastics in another. Unfortunately, I became slack as time pass by. Never border la…I thought. But few months back, I got to know a recycle program put up by Tzu-Chi Malaysia . A member, kind lady explained to me that all recycled goods that they collected will be sold to contractors for recycling. The money will be used for charity. Fuiyoh… not bad le, can protect the environment and do charity at the same time with some rubbish that I will throw away anyway, I thought. Then me and my mission start

BB's Response

MIL brought bb to the pharmacy to grab some meds. Pharmacist: What’s your name? BB: Bb…followed MIL uttering his name. Pharmacist: What’s papa’s name? BB: Papa…. Pharmacist: What’s mama’s name? BB: Mama…. Hahahahaha!!! Very straight forward! Playing point point. Mama: This is Peter and this is Jane. Bb: point to Peter… ummm….make noise wants me to tell Mama: Peter BB: point point 2 times… Mama: Peter, Peter BB: point, point, point, point, point……very fast Mama: Have to cater la, Peter, Peter, Peter, Peter, Peter, Peter, Peter BB: Giggled…kekekeke…

Thoughts

It has been a very busy two weeks. First, loads of office work to complete and secondly I was helping my husband with some of his biz work after work, and thirdly, my pc was attacked by Trojan Vundo. That’s why I didn’t have time to blog and read blog. As I was leaving to work today, I saw bb staring at me from the window waving bye bye and blowing flying kisses, I feel so sorry that I didn’t spend enough time with him lately. When I do get to see him at night, he has already fallen asleep. I only spend an hour with him this morning. It’s indeed very crazy and hectic schedule. Everything is almost over now. A few more things to help and I would go back to my normal lepak routine. Feeling very zombie and had deeper double eyelids today as I had only slept for 4 hours. But I have discovered one thing after withdrawing from the design realm for a year; I can never work this wild and crazy anymore. I just lack the stamina as I age. I am glad I am no longer in this line but pity my hubby, h

Trojan Attack

I hate having viruses in the computer especially this one who is so stubborn and refuse to disappear from my PC. The ever clingy Trojan Vundo. I have tried Fix Vundo, delete temporary internet files, tried disabling the XP System Restore, disabling the internet connection and run a complete scan but Norton anti virus still alert me with this irritating dialog box said Trojan Vundo, c:\windows\system32\awtss.dll, access to the file was denied, unable to repair. I have finally track it down but why does the alert box still show up? Puzzled!
