Wesak Day Celebration

We woke up slightly early last Friday. After getting ready, daddy drove us to the Kuan Yin temple in Jalan Bukit Bintang for prayer. It was already filled with people when we arrived for the 11am prayers.

Flowers and lights in oil were seen everywhere. Daddy and myself are half pass six in this, we just followed our usual routine to pray and then we were guided to bath the Buddha before joining the rest for some chanting. We were given 2 packets of flower water to take home for shower. It’s believed to wash away the bad luck and hence new beginnings will flourish. In short, we were there to celebrate the birth of Buddha.

After the prayers, we had vegetarian “Ba Kut Teh” in the temple. Bb shared some of our food before going out for his further exploration of the surroundings.

A Special Day

I am very delighted today. Because I have again donated blood for the 3rd time in my life. In addition, I am even happier as it’s my birthday today. Hehe…I just thought it’s so meaningful to do such thing in my special day. I just went out for lunch with some colleagues and received well wishes from ex-colleagues. Daddy, thanks for the lovely gift too. That's 350ml of my red blood. My hubby don't even dare to try. Hehe! Conclution: Women are more brave than men. Agree?

Our Valentine's dinner

We left home at 7:30pm for dinner at Bangsar. We only reached the restaurant at 8:30pm. It was so jammed last night; I bet it’s because everyone was rushing to town to meet their sweet Valentine. Upon reaching the restaurant we were greeted by beautiful decorated rose petals and candle lights. Its Cava restaurant and bar, serve Spanish cuisine, special wines and cocktails. Only 3 tables were occupied at that time. We then ordered entrĂ©e of half a dozen escargots with butter and herbs; I went for baked cod fish, and hubby a lamb shank. Coupled with beer, I know, how inappropriate to have beer in that environment. Anyway, the food came in a short while when we chit chatted away happily. Other Valentines slowly arrived and filled up the entire restaurant. The placements of tables were a little too close to each other therefore I was a bit coy to snap photos of my food. We waited for a least half and hour before our main course was served. I was running out of patience, hubby jokingly sai...
